I was on Sehome Hill the other day, and noticed that there has been a substantial impact on the area around some of the upper boulders. It appears that someone has taken it upon themselves to clear out vegetation near one boulder, so that they could use a rope swing... Now there are large dirt patches, which will eventually result in more erosion in that area making the landing for that boulder worse than it was before. We as users of this area need to remember that our goal is to have as little impact at possible. I have also noticed and increase in the volume of trash in that area. One example is a wooden pallet left at the base of a boulder. I can only assume someone what either not happy with the landing, or was too short to reach the start of a problem. TOO BAD, DEAL WITH IT! Don't drag crap out there and leave it! There is no excuse to leave crap lying around! The next time I go up there I am going to haul it out of there. I am asking anyone else that uses and values the use of Sehome Hill, to please pick up any garbage that you may find lying around, and help keep the impact on this area to a minimum. Consider it a privilege to use this area and if someone overseeing Sehome Hill becomes upset with our level of impact on the area we can kiss our privilege good-bye.
